Kia Tisdale, M.D. has recently joined the medical staff of Washington County Hospital. Dr. Tisdale will be practicing at Women's Specialty Associates, located at Robinwood Medical Center, as an internal medicine specialist with a focus on issues specific to women. Now that Dr. Tisdale has joined Women's Specialty Associates, the practice now offers primary care services and gynecology services in one convenient location for women.

Dr. Tisdale graduated with a medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, and completed her residency at Virginia Commonwealth Medical Center. Dr. Tisdale also received a bachelor's degree with honors in biology from the same university. During her residency, she became a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.

Because of her interest in women's health, Dr. Tisdale said joining Women's Specialty Associates was a natural step for her. "I am looking forward to growing professionally, especially with the guidance of Dr. Mullick in the area of gynecology as it pertains to internal medicine," Dr. Tisdale said. She is pleased to join a practice that "provides women a great service and is dedicated to their total well being."

Dr. Tisdale is originally from Hampton, Virginia and enjoys attending outdoor concerts, reading and spending time with her husband, Randy.
